A Quick Catch Up!
Posted by Ishrat Khawja on
Time seems to get away from me! So here's a little catch up of what's been going on around here.
Around the Web
Anne Butera of My Giant Strawberry, had a chat with me about inspiration (you'll find the video here). Anne and I have been in touch online since 2012, when I was still in Saudi Arabia. So it was amazing to finally talk to her!
BIPOC Makers Project ran a special feature on their Instagram account called July To Dye For, where they highlighted my yarn on one of the days! That was just wonderful of them especially as there were so many talented dyers featured!
Collaboration
You may have already come across the Ishrat Hat pattern by super talented Aoibhe Ni. It's a clever pattern that incorporates knitting and Tunisian crochet (yes, I'm making one!) There is also a CAL/KAL/MAL for it and the pattern is absolutely free! You can select it here and you will receive a pdf download!
Stockists
Woolfull have moved in to their new premises! It looks lovely! And they have some Fruitful Fusion in stock!
The Knitting Corner have also re-opened and have some more Fruitful Fusion in the shop!
Coming soon ...
Woolly Originals has picked 4 indie dyers' yarns to create her stunning bags with! I'm so excited that she's using Red Sea and Cinnamon! I just can't wait!!!
Perth Festival of Yarn are going to have a Festival Shop open on the weekend that the festival would have been running. And I will have three exclusive colourways available as pre-orders! See you there!
Next shop update
The next shop update is today at 6 pm BST and there will be high twist merino singles and MCN (merino cashmere nylon) bases back in stock! Woohoo!

Always lovely to see what you’re up to, Ishrat! Thanks for the shout out for our video chat. It was so fun after all these years to finally “meet” you face to face.
